Meet our Board of Education:


Annette Jordan
Annette Jordan - Board President

Annette has served on the Freehold Borough Board of Education for the past nine years. In her tenure she has served on the Facilities Committee, Community Relations Committee, Negotiations Committee, and Liaison to the Parent Teach Organizations and the Freehold Borough Library Commission. In addition to her role as a board member Annette is also Vice President of Public Relations for the Monmouth County School Boards Association. Annette is currently the President of the Freehold Board of Education.
 
In additional to serving on the Board of Education, Annette has coached   T-Ball and Minors Divisions of Freehold Little League; coached both Travel and Recreation Soccer boys and girls for seven years and is trained as a soccer referee, She is also a board member of the Genevieve Hawley Memorial Education Foundation.

For the past twenty years Annette has lived in the Borough with her husband Bob and two children, Kassie and Tyler, both of whom attend Freehold Borough Public Schools. Annette works as an Account Manager for Gannett Corporation.

Annette currently serves on the Negotiations Committee, the Funding and Finance Committee, delegate to NJ School Boards Association liaison to the Freehold Borough Education Foundation, President of Monmouth County School Boards, as well as Freehold Borough's Community Information Committee.
 
Michael Lichardi
 

 
 Michael Lichardi - Vice President

Dr. Michael Lichardi has been Freehold Borough homeowner since 1998 and parent of three Borough students. Prior to his election to the board, he worked as a district substitute teacher and has participated on several school committees (i.e.: 2005 Ad-Hoc Committee for Facilities Usage, 2006 Action Team for Partnerships, and 2008 Citizens’ Academy). As a board member, he is a member of the Negotiations Committee, the Facilities Committee, and chairs the Board’s Community Relations Committee.

Michael has been an active member of our community as a firefighter with the Freehold Fire Department for over ten years and is member of the Medical Reserve Corps of the Monmouth County Health Department. He is a coach and board member of Freehold Little League Baseball, and teaches religious instruction at the St. Rose School.

Dr. Lichardi is a physician associate with twenty-five years experience and is a doctor of podiatric medicine. Also, he has completed a fellowship program with the NYS Department of Health. This program provided training and experience in governmental and political issues of medically disenfranchised and special needs populations. As a transplanted New York Cityresident from a culturally diverse family, particularly Italian and Hispanic, his personal and professional experience can bring forth a relevant perspective on Borough issues.

susanG  Susan Greitz
 

Susan was appointed to the Board in December 2011 and is excited about the opportunity.  A New Jersey native, Susan grew up in Brick Township, attending public school there; graduated from Ocean County College, then matriculated to New York University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.  Having worked in a number of marketing and advertising positions, Susan is currently employed part time as a public relations and event manager for Allen Consulting.

She and husband Paul (a Monmouth county native) have one child, Andrew, who attends Park Avenue Elementary School.  They have lived in the Borough since 1999.  Susan served on the Board of the PAE PTO for four years and has chaired the annual Basket Raffle for the past three years; volunteered on the Strategic Planning committee, and prior to joining the Board of Education, volunteered on the BOE Funding committee.  She is now a member of the Board’s Community Relations Committee.  In addition, Susan volunteers on the Borough Recreation Commission. 

 
Jim Keelan
Jim Keelan

Jim is married to Debra and has four girls in the Freehold Borough Public Schools, ranging from grades 3 thru 11. Jim has been a resident of the Borough since 1997 and a member of the Board of Education since April 2001. Jim is a former president of the Freehold Board of Education serving as such from 2006 thru 2009.Throughout the years in the Borough, Jim has been a member of the Freehold Borough Educational Foundation, Drug Alliance, Human Relations Committee, Parent Teacher Organizations and coached Recreation Soccer for several years.

Since 1987, Jim has been a civilian employee working for the US Navy at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in  Lakehurst NJ. As an engineering program manager, Jim is responsible for providing Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment for new construction of US Navy Air Capable ships.

Jim has a Bachelor degree in Engineering for Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from Monmouth College.

Jim sits on the Negotiation Committee, the Facilities Committee, and is the Board of Education Liaison to the Freehold Borough Council.

Michele Tennant
 

Michele is newly elected to the Board of Ed for the one year position formerly held by her husband Kevin. Michele grew up in Bergen County and moved to Freehold thirteen years ago.  Michele and Kevin have a ten year old son that attends the 5th grade at the Freehold Learning Center.  Michele has worked in retail for 20+ years until the adoption of her son in 2002, when she then retired to be a stay at home mom.

Michele was PTO President at FLC from 2010 to 2012.  She has been very involved with the PTO in some capacity since her son started school at FLC in 2007 when he entered Kindergarten . 

Michele is now the liaison to the PTO and is also on the policy committee.

 
  
Maureen MacCutcheon
Maureen MacCutcheon

Maureen grew up in Monmouth County and has lived in Freehold Borough for 17 years with her husband, Tim. They have two sons, Shane, 11, and Kacey, 9, who attend FIS and FLC accordingly. Maureen earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Montclair State University (then, College) and has had a career in sales and business management for the past 26 years, which included employment by the Entertainment Book and Simmons Market Research. Currently, Maureen is self-employed as a consultant for Southern Living at HOME allowing her the flexibility to be a stay-at-home mom and be involved in the community.

Maureen was elected to the Board of Education in April of 2009 and is happy to serve the community. As a parent of the Freehold Learning Center, Maureen felt it important to have that school represented by a parent on the board and decided to run for election. Maureen is a graduate of the Citizen's Academy a program (developed by the District Administrative Team to provide an overview of the school district) which also increased her interest in running for the board. The Borough is a unique district and the diversity of the community requires much analysis and planning to serve all of the children thoroughly in their education. Maureen is excited to serve our children and the community.

Maureen currently serves as the Chairman on the Policy Committee, is the liaison to the Freehold Borough Arts Council and is the board's liaison to the Freehold Borough Library Commission.
 
Thomas Parke


Thomas Parke

Newly elected to the Freehold Borough Board of Education in April of this year, Tom is a lifelong resident of Freehold Borough. Tom graduated in 1979 from Freehold Township High School, married his wife, Pam, and settled into raising their two children Mackenzie 11 and Matt 15.

In the past, Tom served as a member of the Historic Preservation Committee and volunteered his time with Freehold Little League.  Presently, in addition to serving as a Board of Education member, Tom is on the Rental Advisory Board.

For the past twenty-nine years Tom has worked for the Department of Defense.

brucePatrick Bruce Patrick

Bruce was born and raised in Staten Island, NY.  In 1993, he and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Freehold Borough.  They have a nine year old daughter, Candace, who is student at Park Avenue Elementary. 

 

 Bruce has a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and Master's Degree in Bacteriology and Public Health.  A research scientist and licensed clinical serology supervisor, Bruce has been employed at the Institute for Basic Research for 32 years.  The focus of his research is Down’s Syndrome, Alzheimer's Disease and Autism Spectrum Disorders.  He also serves on the Animal Research Review committee and the Employees Assistance Program.  Bruce has been recognized by the New York Blood Center for his work organizing Blood Drives for the past 30 years.

 

It was his concern over the impact of the ongoing state funding crisis on the quality of education in our school district that compelled him to run for a position on the Board of Education.  He believes that all the students in the district deserve a high quality, well rounded education.

 

Bruce was elected to the Board of Education in 2011 and currently serves on the Policy Committee, is the alternate Delegate to NJ School Board Association, as well a member of the Funding and Finance Committee

 


 
Daniel Xavier


Daniel Xavier

Born on October 25th 1975 in Long Branch NJ, Daniel is a Monmouth County native and a product of a complete public education. After graduating from Freehold Township High School in 1994, he attended Montclair State University, completing a B.A. in Political Science in 2000 with a minor in U.S. History. An active member of the community, Daniel is a member of the Freehold Borough Fire Department, the Freehold Borough Neighborhood Pride Committee, the St. Rose Church and the Freehold chapter of the Freemasons - where he’s the principle organizer of the Annual Freehold Borough Holiday Toy Drive for underprivileged children. Daniel is also the board's liaison to the Freehold Borough Human Relations Committee.

A United States Army veteran who spent a year in Bosnia with the 429th Military Police Company, Daniel and his wife Heather have two children – Casey (2 years old) and Emily (7 months).
