"Rocco Tomazic has been the Superintendent in Freehold Borough since April 2013.  During his 18 years in education he has served in various assignments as a teacher, vice principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent.   He has been a college instructor at Rutgers University and the University of Maryland.  Prior to his career in education he served in the U.S. Navy retiring as a Commander.  He earned his educational doctorate from Rutgers University.  He is a resident of Freehold Township, married with two children and two grandchildren."

"William, a native of Fulton, NY, taught here in Freehold for 7 years before taking over the principal position at the Learning Center this year.  Prior to coming to Freehold, William taught in Bowie MD, and in Central NY.  He graduated from Alfred University in 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education.  He Earned his Masters degree from the University of Phoenix with a major in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006, and his Post Masters Certificate in Administration from The College of New Jersey in 2011.  William is a resident of Freehold Borough where he resides with his wife and 2 children."

"Patrick Mulhern received a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Rutgers University and a Master’s degree in both English Education and Educational Leadership at The College of New Jersey.  He was trained in Reading Writing Workshop instruction from Teachers College at Columbia University.  Patrick also a graduate of New Brunswick Tomorrow’s Leadership program.

He was the lead administrator for the Greater Brunswick Charter School (GBCS) in New Brunswick, New Jersey for the past four years.  During his time in New Brunswick, Patrick oversaw the implementation of Dual Language ( a bilingual education program), Reading and Writing Workshop, and Investigations (math program).  Over this time period standardized test scores increased significantly.  JerseyCAN, a national network of state-level advocacy groups that promote research based education reforms, recognized GBCS middle school scores for having the 5th highest increase (24.3%) in student achievement in New Jersey."

"Jennifer Donnelly has been serving as a District Supervisor since 2011. She began her career with Freehold Borough as the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator and the Supervisor of Gifted and Talented. Since 2012, she has taken on the role of Supervisor of Instructional Technology & Assessment and continues as the Supervisor of Gifted and Talented. In her current role, she is responsible to oversee the implementation of district technology and all district assessments as well as continuing to maintain the integrity of the district’s Gifted and Talented Program. Her education includes a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from William Paterson University 1996; an M.A. of Educational Leadership from St. Peter’s University 2003. She holds a standard certificate in Elementary Education; General Business Education, Supervisor and Principal."

Cheryl Young has been in the field of education for over 14 years.  Prior to her appointment as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Freehold Borough Public Schools, she was an elementary school teacher and a Technology Coordinator.  She has worked in an administrative capacity since 2007, serving as a district Supervisor of Special Projects and Information Services and most recently a Department Chairperson for data initiatives, grants, and district testing coordination in the Neptune Township School District. Her education includes a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in English (2000) and an M.S. in Educational Technology (2005), both from the College of New Jersey.  Ms. Young returned to the College of New Jersey to complete their Post-Master’s Certificate program to obtain her Principals Certification (2010) and in the past year has also obtained her Chief School Administrator certification through NJ EXCEL.

"Jennifer O’Shea took over duties as Director of Special Programs in Freehold Borough Public Schools on August 1, 2013.  Previously she served as Director of Basic Skills and Testing/School Psychologist in the SeaGirt Schools for three years, and was the School Psychologist for the Point Pleasant Borough Schools for over ten years.  In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all special education programs and services provided within the district.  She also serves as the Affirmative Action Officer for the district.  Her education includes a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia 1994; an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Georgian Court University 2000; and an M.A in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University 2010.  She holds NJ state certification as a School Psychologist as well as Supervisor and Principal certifications.  Mrs. O’Shea resides in Spring Lake Heights with her husband John and three children Abigail (10), Jack (9), and Ellison(7)."

"Prior to becoming an administrator in Freehold Borough, Cecilia Zimmer taught fortotal of 11 years as a bilingual teacher in Union City, NJ and as an ESLteacher in Carteret, NJ.  As a Supervisor since 2011, her charge is to oversee the ESL, Bilingual, and World Language departments.   She holds a BA in Sociology from Montclair State University and an MA in Administration and Supervision from St. Peter’s College. Mrs. Zimmer has Elementary, ESL, Bilingual, and Principal Certifications, and resides in Carteret, NJ with her husband and two daughters."

"John Brovak has served as an educator in Freehold Borough for the past 14 years. He graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1999 with a BS and was hired as a Health and Physical Education Teacher that same year.  In 2007, John Brovak earned his MA in Education from the College of New Jersey. February, 2008 he was appointed to the role of Site Supervisor for the 21st CCLC program. This September John Brovak will be the Vice Principal at FIS, Site Supervisor for the 21st CCLC program and District HIB Coordinator."
