• Grade 3 Identification Process: Multiple measures determined by the committee will be used for placement into the program:

    GRADE 3 Evaluation for Placement: 

    • Student must score within the top 7.5% on the OLSAT; 
    • Student must achieve exceeding expectations status as it aligns to the cut-off score on the final Benchmark Assessments; 
    • Report Card: Students must achieve the equivalent of a B+ final grade or above in math, language arts, science and social studies; 
    • Teacher Nomination Survey (Non-Academic Measure)

     

    GRADE 4 & 5 Recommendation for Placement: 

    • Teacher Nomination Survey (Non-Academic Measure);
    • Teacher Recommendation Form (Academic Measure);
    • Student must achieve a proficient status on NJSLA ELA and Math;
    • Student must achieve an exceeding expectations status as it aligns to the cut-off score on the final Benchmark Assessments; 
    • Report Card: Students must achieve the equivalent of a B+ final grade or above in math, language arts, science and social studies.
