• Integrated Preschool Program

The Freehold Borough School District offers a full day integrated pre-school program for classified three and four year olds and regular education four year olds who are residents of Freehold Borough. The program is designed to bring special needs and general education pre-school students together in an integrated environment. Research has shown that all students benefit from this type of program. Sessions are held five days a week at Freehold Learning Center. Parents are responsible for transportation of the general education preschool students. Enrollment is open to a limited number of general education preschool students.

The integrated preschool program uses the Tools of the Mind Curriculum. Tools of the Mind is a research-based early childhood program that builds strong foundations for school success in preschool and kindergarten children by promoting their intentional and self-regulated learning. In a series of rigorous experimental trials, Tools of the Mind has been shown to have a significant impact on self-regulation of preschool children.
