• Welcome to the Freehold Learning Center Chorus!

If you really like music, and would like to make music AND make new friends at the same time,

then Chorus is definitely for you!

The FLC Chorus is open to second graders who enjoy music and singing, and who would like the opportunity to learn and perform music outside of their regular weekly music classes.

Chorus forms are being sent home with interested students on their music day the week of October 18.

This year students may choose to attend chorus rehearsals on Tuesday mornings before school, or on Wednesday afternoons after school.

Space in each chorus rehearsal (morning and afternoon) is limited to 30 students; acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis by class.

Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 26 & 27.

Being part of the FLC Chorus means making a commitment to the group. We will spend each rehearsal learning how to make the best possible music together, and so it is necessary for all members of the chorus to be at all rehearsals and concerts. Illnesses and vacations are excused absences; if you were in school that day but couldn’t stay for chorus due to illness or a family obligation, please send in a note. Otherwise, your absence from school will be sufficient excuse for missing chorus. If you miss an excessive number of rehearsals, Ms. Goetke may ask you to come practice the music individually, to ensure that you are prepared for the concert.

If you have any questions regarding chorus or the concert, feel free to call the school or email me directly at tgoetke@freeholdboro.k12.nj.us.

I look forward to making music with your children this year!
