      • Vocabulary - Complete the "sort by category" and "identify what doesn't belong" sections

      • Gardening - click on the "what", "where" and "who" question tabs and see how many questions you can answer using complete sentences! Then try the "pronoun" tab. Pick a flower and form a complete sentence to tell which flower each person has using "he", "she" or "they". When you're done, try the sequencing tab to Plant a Garden!

      • What Goes Together - Find the two items that go together! Talk about why the two items go together (e.g., they are both types of fruit).

      • Comparing & Contrasting - Practice comparing (discussing how two things are the same) and contrasting (discussing how two things are different) by clicking on the correct answer.

      • Categories - Have your child choose the picture that does not belong.Have them explain why that item does not belong. Also, have them label the category that the remaining two items belong to.

      • Superhero Questions- Have your child respond to the questions on each page by finding the correct superhero and using a complete sentence to answer the questions,using the words "he", "she", or "they".

      • Under the Sea- find the category-list page and as your child creates a scene have them try to come up with 3 items in each category. For extra fun, do the category Id page and while they create a picture scene, have them identify the category of items listed.

      • Spring "WH" Questions - Answer a few questions from each page! Use a complete sentence when saying your answers.

    • Activity #2- Click on the 5-step sequencing with pictures and see if your child can put them in the correct order. Once they are in the correct order, have them retell the story using the pictures.

      • Sequencing - Practice putting the pictures in the correct order. Start with 3-step sequences and then try some 4- and 5-step ones!

    •  Activity #2- Review "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" story above and practice synonyms on the worksheets that follow below. To review: Synonyms are words that are similar or the same in meaning.
      • Alexander Synonyms-
        • Page 1-- read the sentences and fill in the blank with a synonym for the word in parenthesis
        • Page 2 & 3-- Verbally read each word with a partner and discuss what it means. Then try to find the synonym for the words at the bottom of the page. You do not need to print the pages, just review with a partner. 


    • Supplemental activity - Continue to practice identifying synonyms. Find the correct word to replace the underlined word in each sentence



    Week of 4/6 - 4/8


    • Activity #2- Review the story "How to Catch the Easter Bunny"
      • Identify where the bunny is using the choices under each picture. Use a complete sentence to tell where the bunny is.

      • Name the category in which the three items belong - For example, if you see RED, YELLOW, and BLUE, you would say COLORS! Or if you see a CAR, TRUCK, or BUS you would say VEHICLES
