Meet the Board of Education:
Michael Lichardi - Board President Susan Greitz - Vice President
Susan has served on the Board since December 2011. A New Jersey native, Susan grew up in Brick Township, attending public school there; graduated from Ocean County College, then matriculated to New York University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Having worked in a number of marketing and advertising positions, Susan is currently employed part time as the marketing coordinator for the New Jersey State Museum and has her own company, Greitz Communications and Events.
She and husband Paul (a Monmouth county native) have one child, Andrew, who graduated from the elementary district and is attending Freehold Borough High School. They have lived in the Borough since 1999. Susan served on the Board of the PAE PTO for four years and has chaired the annual Basket Raffle for three years; volunteered on the Strategic Planning committee, and prior to joining the Board of Education, volunteered on the BOE Funding and Finance committee. In addition, Susan volunteers on the Borough Recreation Commission.
Paul & his wife, Trish, have lived in Freehold since 1998 and have 2 daughters in the Borough’s school district. Prior to being elected to the Board in 2013, Paul participated in the district’s Strategic Planning forums. Paul & his family can often be seen walking downtown, riding their bikes throughout the community or volunteering at PTO sponsored events.
Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Monmouth University and is currently employed by the NJ Economic Development Authority, where he assists companies looking to expand within New Jersey and municipalities on their redevelopment efforts. Prior to joining the NJEDA in 2007, he worked for 12 years at the NJ Housing and Mortgage Financing, which provides various programs for developers & sponsors of affordable housing developments.
I have been a resident of Freehold Borough for four years with my wife Christine and 11-year-old son Patrick, who attends 6th grade at the Freehold Intermediate School. Before settling in Freehold Borough, I lived in Jackson, NJ and grew up in Edison, NJ. I enjoy all sports especially running, cycling and basketball. I am a volunteer coach for the Colonial Basket Ball League and Co-founder of the Freehold Borough Family Running Club. I also volunteer my time on the Freehold Borough Recreation Commission and for STOMP The Monster™, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides financial and other support to cancer patients.
I graduated with honors from the New York Restaurant School, and am employed by the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen as a Manager of Kitchen and Food Services.
Annette has served on the Freehold Borough Board of Education since 2001. During her tenue she has served on several board committees in different capacities. Currently, Annette serves on the Negotiations Committee, Board Delegate to NJ School Boards Association, and liaison to; the Freehold Borough Education Foundation, the Freehold Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, the Human Relations Committee, and the Mayor and Council. Annette is both Past President of Monmouth County School Boards, and the Freehold Borough Board of Education. Annette is a New Jersey School Boards Certified Board Member as well as a NJSBA Master Board Member.
In additional to serving on the Board of Education, Annette sits on the Freehold Borough Planning Board, Olde Freehold Day and Spooktacular committees and the Innovation Committee, which recently introduced Participatory Budgeting to Freehold Borough. Annette is the 2014 recipient of the John McGackin Renaissance Award. She is also serves a board member of the Genevieve Hawley Memorial Education Foundation.
For the past twenty-eight years Annette has lived in the Borough with her husband Bob. Her and Bob's two children, Kassie and Tyler, both attended Freehold Borough Public Schools.

Bruce Patrick has served on the Freehold Borough Board of Education since 2011. He currently serves as Chair of the Policy Committee and is the alternate delegate to New Jersey School Boards Association.
For the past 24 years, Bruce and his wife Carolyn have lived in Freehold Borough. Their daughter Candace, a graduate of Park Avenue Elementary and Freehold Intermediate schools, is currently a sophomore at Freehold Borough High School.
Bruce holds a Masters Degree in Bacteriology and Public Health and has worked as a research scientist at the New York State Institute for Basic Research for 37 years. The focus of his research is biomarkers for Downs Syndrome, Alzheimers disease and Autism Spectrum disorders. Bruce has been recognized by the New York Blood Center for his work coordinating blood drives for over 30 years.
Bruce has been active in the schools PTOs and participated in strategic planning sessions. His primary concern continues to be the ongoing inequality in state funding, it’s affect on the quality of education in our school district, and it's impact on the local school taxes.
Along with other Borough parents he has attended numerous state Senate and Assembly finance committee hearings to lobby over the States inadequate funding of our schools. Bruce is a strong advocate for the role of the arts in our schools; he believes that all students in the district deserve a high-quality well-rounded education.

A Monmouth County Native,Margaret grew up in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, attending public school through high school. She graduated from Brookdale Community College and Kean College of NJ, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science. Margaret has worked over 25 years in a corporate environment holding positions in Finance and Information Technology. She is currently employed by International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), as a Sharepoint Application Engineer.
Margaret and her husband Dwight have three children and two grandchildren. All three children attend(ed) the Freehold Boro Public schools with the youngest currently in 8th grade. They have lived in Freehold Boro since 1992. Margaret has served on the FLC and FIS PTO’sand the Strategic Planning committee. In addition to joining the Board of Education, Margaret has also volunteered to serve on the School Safety Committee for the 2013-2014 school year.
