Hello Everyone, 

I am the Third Grade Bilingual Teacher at Park Avenue Elementary School. I was born in Lima, Peru and I moved to the United States at the age of 17. I attended Monmouth University and graduated with a B.A in Elementary Education and Spanish. Understanding how difficult it is to learn a new language, I decided to learn more about how to help you learn English effectively, so I went back to school and completed all courses for a M.A in ESL and Multicultural Education. After a few years of teaching, I went back to school and graduated with a M.Ed. in School Administration and Educational Leadership. I am happily married and I have 3 wonderful children: George, Isabella, and Sofia. We have 3 dogs, but I have to admit my favorite one is Luna, our Labrador Retriever. 

This year you will learn many different things. You will work hard, but I promise we will have fun on the way. You will learn to work independently, you will read in book clubs and by yourself, you will learn to multiply and divide, and you will transition into chapter books if you haven't already. I can't wait to help you through all these new experiences as your 3rd Grade Teacher.
